I have always thought that these sell b...Good info. I have always thought that these sell by dates are just a gimmick to get us to buy new food and trowing the old can away. We have been stocking up on many items you find at the regular store but some stuff is just not available at the local Albertsons or Walmart. We buy a lot of these items such as scrambled egg mix and freeze dried chicken and ground beef from www.srmarketplace.com. I agree about storing food and water, canned goods etc the main thing keep them in controlled environment humidity light etc. I also stock up on seasonings like Montreal steak mix, Cajun, herbs, spices and the taste king Tabasco.
