A sports wharehouse sells these designed for fishermen and they are tough and light, roll up compactly and have many pockets. A fleece blanket is lighter, warmer and hydrophobic when compared to a wool blanket. I prefer fleece sweaters and if needed long underwear over carrying a blanket.
