Herb Seasoning Blend Copycats

Food fatigue is real, and one of the best ways to prevent it from afflicting your family is with a wide variety of herbs and spices.  Most of the time I prefer to utilize individual herbs and spices in my cooking, rather than relying on a blend.  Blends take more real estate in the precious little cabinet space allotted to seasonings.  So I personally don’t use poultry or taco or Italian seasoning.

But there are others, including my children, who like the convenience of blends, and they’re pretty nice to take on extended camping trips.  Then there are other blends we’d rather not live without.  My husband grew up with Old Bay, and everyone in the family became enamored of Slap Ya Mama’s seasoning when my daughter brought it back from Louisiana.  Having the essential spice blends your family loves will ward off food fatigue and keep familiar food storage favorites tasting the same as always, regardless of what’s going on outside our doors.
