Here is a quick tip for those that never thought about it.
Get some bright orange cord
and put it on things you don't want to lose and/or be aware of.
Compass
GPS
Tent stakes
Knife
Whistle
Signal mirror
Zippers on certain parts of your pack, first aid kit zippers
Flashlights
Radio's
Match box
They are also making cord that reflects at night when hit by light. I'm not sure if they make a bright orange cord that does, but if they do please let me know because I WANT IT!

Never understood the facination with "CAMO EVERYTHING". Lighters, flashlights, first aid kits, belts, etc. What happens when you drop it in the woods? You go buy a new one.
